World Moving & Storage - Review

We used World Moving and Storage and Crawford and Walker Customs Brokers, both in Auckland, for the move of our household art from New Zealand to the USA, including ancient and valuable Asian art, some over 2500 years old. Andrew Walker arranged to have a specialist come out of retirement (from the Auckland Museum) to special pack our goods. Unfortunately, several items were broken because they were carelessly packed; the specialist charged us directly for his services and then Crawford Walker tried to charge us again for the same services; their final bill was more than double the original quote; and they were very unpleasant to deal with when we attempted to get a fair shake. If it were not for the fact that we relocated to the States for cancer treatment, we would have sued them in NZ. If I had it to do over again, we would never use these companies for anything.  (more)

We shipped our household goods from US to NZ. The staff were helpful and pleasant. However, when they came to deliver our contents to our house I found multiple broken pieces of furniture. Not just scratches or dings. Actual drawers completely torn apart, shelves ripped from units. Obvious that these things were broken by staff during the unloading. When I called World Moving the lady asked if we had insurance and I told her we had full loss insurance (if your entire container was lost at sea or something along those lines). She said there was nothing she could do, as I cannot prove these were not packed in this condition. On another note, had I known that the company was going to unpack the entire contents of the container and repack in a moving truck I would have purchased full insurance. I have called multiple times and no one has ever called me back. The fact that no one ever called me back is what has prompted me to write this review.  (more)

After I posted my order, This concern was the first one to call me and accepted my order, They are super fast in communication and also during my transportation.. They explained the whole process in an applicable manner .Got a great price quote from them. I never got any damage during the process. I was kept informed either by personally or through the carrier. Good customer service, well done!  (more)

The business Dealt with This transport was prompt and professional; the car was loaded representatives produced the documents and started with their work specifically. I was so amazed at the level of professionalism and class that World Moving & Storage exerted in shipping my vehicle that I will be using them on the trip back next month .Even though there was a terrible snowstorm in Colorado, this company shipped my vehicle without any problems. My experience with World Moving & Storage was a positive one. Customer Service was great! I got a very good quote, and price and I would use them again and plan on using them on all vehicle transports going forward.  (more)

We use World Moving & Storage for our Auto Shipping from California to New York it was outstanding, the rate was the greatest we got from all 4 companies i call to the service was on time the even offer to pick my car just before i was infectious my flight from LAX to JFK.  (more)
