vLg Transportation - Review

My experience was great with VLG Transportation. Found them through reference of Copart auction. Got booked that same hour and the car was picked up that same evening. kept me updated through the transit and was very affordable. Would defiantly use them again.  (more)

Sadly, this is not the company it used to be. We have been using them for over a decade and, when asked by a visiting associate to recommend a limo company who could take them from San Diego to Los Angeles, we suggested Village Transportation. After contacting them, twice, and being VERY SPECIFIC with respect to who should pay (i.e. not us) they took our guests to LAX and charged us, stating that the guest had said they would reimburse us...!! How? They live abroad and now we would need to contact them and enter into an embarrassing "he said, she said" debate. As if that was not sufficient, the driver gave himself a $60 tip...!!! In the good old days, with Rosemary at the helm, this would never have happened. Were it not for their new vehicles (i.e. the latest spacious TownCar) I would definitely have given them 1 star.  (more)

On Thursday, August 9, 2012 Mark with VGL transportation called me bright and early to tell me that he had a truck that would "be in front of my building Friday 10 August". Mark charged my card the $100 deposit as soon as we hung up the phone on the 9th. Friday came and went with no one to pick up the motorcycle. Friday evening I called and asked where the driver was and Mark informed me that the driver would be there either Saturday or Sunday. Mark knew that I had to be on the road and was leaving for NC as soon as they picked up the motorcycle. Sunday evening the driver called and told me he would be there on Wednesday. I lost two days travel time and two days of work because of Mark and his greed. Meanwhile my motorcycle sits in my buddies garage still out in CA. I was warned by other brokers about VLG Transportation but thought it was just company rivalry. I also turned down 3 better offers, my mistake! I have tried repeatedly to get the $100 deposit back but he refuses even though he failed to deliver on our contract. Think hard before you use VLG Transportation.  (more)
