Review Description

Most of the move of my truck went just fine. When my truck got to Ohio the driver called and said he was ready to deliver my truck and could I meet him at Wal-Mart. I said yes. He then said I needed to bring an extra $150. I ask why, he said because my truck would not start because the battery was dead. I ask can I jump start it he said no he would have to do that and it would cost $150. By the time I got to Wal-Mart, (about 5 miles from my house) the truck was on the ground. On the back of the T & M auto Transport Bill of Lading/INVOICE it states."There will be an additional charge for vehicles that have to be winched onto or off the carrier because they do not have enough power to pull themselves onto the carrier, and for vehicles which become Inoperable during shipment. Vehicles that cannot be driven on or off the transporter under their own power are not insured for any reason. No Exceptions. $150.00. The truck had no problems with starting before or on the day they picked it up, even though there were times it set for a week or more at a time. The truck has had no problem with starting since they delivered it. Why the battery lost power on the trip I do not know, maybe the driver left a light on a door ajar anything, maybe it just lost power I do not know. What I do know is my trucked did not have to be winched onto or off the carrier, it did drive onto and off the carrier under its own power. I can see an extra charge for an Inoperable vehicle as it is going to take a lot more time getting it on and off the carrier. My truck was off the carrier before I drove the 5 miles to Wal-Mart. My truck ran fine until the day they picked it up so I had no reason to think that during the trip it was going to become Inoperable, according to them, and cost an extra $150. I cannot see there being the same charge for jump starting a vehicle as winching on on and off a carrier. I think T & M Auto Transport is using the Inoperable vehicle to mean what they want when they want and it benefits them. In closing I would say if you have another choose I would not use a company such as this. I WOULD NOT USE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
