Do not even think of using Magic Carpet Auto Transport! MCAT quoted me a price to move a car from Florida to California. Car was picked up later than quoted but was finally delivered. At delivery the driver admitted damaging the car, to the tune of about $1000, by drop a tie-down chain on the roof from above. Like an idiot I paid the guy based on his promise that his company would cover the damages. Upon further investigation turns out the driver was an owner operator who did have insurance at one point but that was cancelled due to non payment. Now you had think MCA would have some kind of insurance to cover cases like this but nope that thought never entered the owners mind. This is where the story gets interesting. Upon telling this guy I had have to write a negative review, he threatened to sue me in Federal Court !!! So of course the negative review goes up on transport review anyway. MCATs owners reaction was to inform the review company not once but twice that I was never a customer! and that my review was fake! Needless to say I had no problem proving to the owner of transporter review that I had indeed been a customer of MCAT and of course my review was reinstated. So figure a bunch of fake reviews by MCATs people, a bunch which he pays for (see other reviews) and threatening and lying about negative reviewers and you have a formula which explains this guys high ratings! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
