Alpine Transport Inc. (IA) - Review

First time using Dave and Alpine. Shipped an inexpensive Toyota on an open truck with Alpine. Have shipped cars 4 times including 2 times with enclosed shipping for expensive cars using high-end carriers that cost double the price of Alpine. Dave and Alpine are top-notch and as good as the expensive carriers. Dave was very responsive and knowledgeable. we talked several times by phone. All arrangements were done within 24 hours of when I first emailed him. I got the drivers cell phone number and called him on the Friday pickup date to confirm that he would get the car during the 2 hour agreed time slot, which he did. Delivery was scheduled for Monday but the drivers delivered it a day early on Sunday. All in all a smooth experience, courteous, easy to do business with and prompt service. I was referred to this company from Carousel Audi in Minnesota. Carousel is the dealership where I purchased my car. I left my car at the dealership to be picked up, because I was flying back to Oregon. Alpine picked up my car a few hours later at the stated time. They delivered my vehicle a short three days later, only a few miles from where I live. I would recommend this company. Alpine Transport Inc. did a good job transporting my Jetta. I was sent to them by a friend who had worked with them a few months ago. I found their charges to be reasonable considering that they take great care of your car on transit. My car didn’t arrive with any new scratches  (more)

I spent about a month researching and getting quotes from various shipping companies and brokers to ship my Honda S2000 from CA to FL. What made me decide to go with Alpine Transport was the fact that they own their own trucks as well as contracting out to other reliable companies. I dealt with Chris and he had my car picked up the next day! With an enclosed trailer and equipped with a rear lift gate, exactly as I had requested. These guys also gave me a great Active Duty military discount, which I greatly appreciate! My car made it from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL in 4 days.. talk about fast! After days of reading reviews and agonizing over who to call to move a non-driveable chassis, I called Alpine Transport, Inc. I had a call back quickly from Dave, who by his demeanor, explanation of the process, and assurance that no deposit was required, convinced me I had found the right company, and I agreed to let him find a suitable trailer. 3 days later, the chassis was delivered! I am always Leary of using someone new and bought a Mercedes S63 on Ebay and they were listed as a source for shipping and I called them and got a quote and spoke to Dave. He knew his stuff and was very responsive and great to work with. The car came 2 days early and was exactly as expected for the fee he quoted. No surprises. I asked for an online quote on 01/31/14, i received a phone call on Saturday 02/01/14with a qoute, i asked if they can move the car on Monday 02/04/13, and that was exactly what happened, they picked the car on Monday and delivered it less than 24 hours. the transaction was very smooth and excellent customer service respect the customer before and after they received the money. i could not ask for more. I recommend this company to do your car transportation or any other shipping issues, based on my experience with at least 10 moves this is the best by a shear distance. Thanks  (more)

My car was picked up on the day promised and delivered in perfect condition, parked exactly where it was supposed to be. Mike, the driver, took great pains to ensure the key was delivered to a secure place. The packed items in the car were undisturbed and very secure. I was extremely happy with Mike and Sarah's good manners and honesty. They both tried very hard to make me happy. Alpine Transport is a small, family owned company. Personally, I would never go through a big corporation ever again. Every time I called Alpine for an update, they knew who I was and were always quick with a response.
