I contacted South Beach Transport May 3, 2012 because I purchased a vehicle through COPART. I bought a 2003 Lincoln Town Car E - NON OPP, All of this info was on the description along with screen shots sent of the vehicle itself via e-mail. The broker I was in contact with through the transaction was Jim Stevens. He quoted me $1,099 so I decided to contact him. Jim was helpful and did what he could to get a carrier to deliver my vehicle by putting it on the board. I patiently waited until May 8, 2012. Calling every day to find the status of the shipment on May 7th he mentioned that I would have to bump the price another $50. I agreed since I was being charged a storage fee of $20 per day. May 8th Jim contacts me around 7:00 a.m. PST to tell me the great news that he found a carrier to deliver my vehicle. Patiently waiting until 3:00 p.m. I text Jim "any news" and he mentioned that he got fired for an argument he had with the carrier and the owner, and referred me to someone else. Now I decided to go through another broker, which I was contacted by previously Hanna at United Car Transport. They have been great worry free and was promised a 24-48 hr. pick up. for $1,350. A few hours later I was contacted by Tim Mitchel supervisor at South beach Transport, and was told that him is no longer working with them, that he will be the one taking over my order. Well come to find out he looked at my order # 23380-BD and come to find out he bumps the price to $1,500.00. This is just absurd a bump in price from $1,099 to $1,550. Another bump of $451. Because of a $200 broker fee, $200 NON-OPP fee. I said there is no way! He then sarcastically said Good luck in finding another carrier that will transport your vehicle for less then this and hung up. Horrible customer service. I have no idea how this company is rated 5 star, horrible customer service, and no idea what kind of practice they are running at South Beach Transport. I would not even give them 1 star. They have made me go through hell and back. I had to start from scratch have accrued $20/day storage fees at COPART just so they can find out what is best for them. Six days later I had to contact another company and go through the whole process once again, luckily they were stress free and were able to get my vehicle picked up within 24-48 hrs. as promised. PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH BEACH TRANSPORT YOU WILL REGRET CHOOSING THEM!
