I will try to state only the facts, so that nothing is subject to dispute by Tristar Trucking dba Fairway Auto Transport. Under no circumstances should an employee of a business resort to name calling towards a customer. This is certainly perceived by most as bad customer service. Someone from Tristar accused me of having a scheme to 'dupe' the company out of paying any additional charges even before my vehicle was picked up. The customer is aware of the COD amount; you won't learn of the additional charges (valid or not) until the trucker calls you for drop off. Non-applicable fees charged at drop off. Company will continuously state that they can add on charges per paragraph 15a/19. These charges can be due to bidding with the carrier, priority pick ups, absent at delivery, immobile vehicle, etc. My pre-paid legal attorney reviewed the contract and stated that none of these charges were applicable to me. Tristar stated that the extra monies due upon delivery was due to a brokers commission. My initial invoice notes the amount of my deposit and in parenthesis reads '$150 broker commission'. Broker commission was already paid. Irregardless that the charge was unfounded, Employee Karl from Tristar Trucking told me to just pay it because I wasn't charged for anything else in paragraph 15 that I could have been charged for and it was 'only $100 and not hundreds of dollars'. Also, at the request of the carrier, I allowed early pickup of my vehicle. Karl insist I could have been charged $250 for a priority pick-up, and I should be happy that I wasn't.Tristar offered to deduct $25 from my bill if I wrote a positive review even before my car was picked up. I explained to Karl that Tristar employee Matt told me there woud be no other fees other than what is due on COD since I had a straight delivery and I initially felt really secure with using the company.
