Subject : great experience

I contacted Gilles about having a very primo Toyota 4-Runner shipped from Florida to Colorado - enclosed. Gilles made sure I really thought it was worth the extra expense of enclosed vs. open before we set up the contract. He also asked good questions - yes, it has a modified suspension, no, the height wasnot extreme and it has standard size tires. Gilles made the process and payment clear, and there werenot any surprises - thank you! And the company State 2 State brokered the transport with, Emerald Auto Express, was excellent too, which reflects well on State 2 State. I see complaints on Yelp that seem hard to believe based on the attention I received. I definitely recommend State 2 State.  (more)

Subject : NEVER PICKED UP

I made the mistake of signing a contract with these people. They call every day to say they are working on it - HOPING they will have someone within the next few days. After 12 days, I went with someone else. It has now cost me STORAGE FEES, due to their ineptness and of course without my vehicle. Here is the text from one of their emails "I would like to inform you that we have a truck in your area that we are in the process of loading. If you are with a shipping company already and the vehicle is not moving, they are probably giving you the run around." They do a very good job of convincing you they are on the up and up and actually they are the ones who give you the run around. Learn from my mistake and DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!  (more)

Subject : Absolute Frauds

This company is an absolute fraud. After signing up with a brokerage placement service, Miguel of SBS called me on Thursday and told me he already had a driver scheduled to go through Madison, Wisconsin, where my vehicle was to be picked up, the following Monday, and that after I paid $150, he would provide me with the driver's name and telephone number to make the final arrangements. After my payment was processed, however, Miguel refused to return my emails and phone calls and eventually, on Sunday, conceded that he had no one to pick up my vehicle, but was still making arrangements to do so. I gave SRS through the following Tuesday to locate a driver, but after it failed to do so, I made arrangements through another company. After I disputed the $150 charge with American Express, SRS wrote absolute lies to the credit card company and because of fine print in its contract and its absolute, unremorseful, boldface lies, I was stuck paying $150 for nothing but completely fraudulent representations by Miguel that he already had a driver and that I didn't need to speak with any other company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE LIARS! They will say anything to secure a payment, then completely abandon you and lie to your credit card company.  (more)

Subject : Company is awful and rude and Sales Rep JP Pier is a liar

They picked up the car on Friday with only a few problems. They told me they'd be there around 10-11 am so my fiance stayed home from work to be there and they didn't show up until almost 2 pm so that was a little annoying but definitely understandable given the people we were dealing with (non-educated and incredibly rude). Where my frustration came in was on Saturday. I got a call around 2:45 pm CST from a guy who could barely speak English. He said he would be in Branford, CT Sunday morning by 10 am. I clarified with him that it was the following Sunday (9/30) like you and I agreed. He said no, it was yesterday (9/23). I immediately started to get upset knowing that you told me to stop worrying and you guys do this all the time and that was far from what was happening. Every concern I had was now coming to fruition. I told the driver (or attempted to with his broken English) that we would not be there and he'd have to wait until next Sunday (9/30) to deliver. He hung up on me and then about an hour later I get a call from his dispatcher. He tells me that if they cannot deliver by 11 am, that he will bring the car to Springfield, MA and we'd have to pick it up there. Where our house is is a good 2 hour drive to Springfield! Trying to be polite, I was getting irate that I was the one being inconvenienced for something that wasn't my fault. To make a long story short, he told me to call someone in the area and have them get the car. I said that isn't my responsibility as I paid for a service that they were not coming through on. So here I was calling my Mom asking for her to help get $500 cash and to have the guy deliver the car to her on Sunday. To no shock, she didn't have $500 cash on her and now that it was almost 5 pm EST on a Saturday, every bank was closed and wouldn't be open until Monday. So she had to call my Dad (her ex) to ask for his help as well. Your company/broker company put me in a VERY difficult spot and an extremely awkward one. After I called the dispatcher back, he said that if the car wasn't delivered by 12 noon, he was bringing it to Springfield, MA. I asked him to please work with me as I was already going out of my way to work with him when I should've had no obligations to. My Mom had plans until 4 pm and wouldn't be around to accept the car until then. He finally worked with me after a 3rd phone call to him and the car was delivered yesterday. I do not know of any body damage issues but I won't be able to check that out until we arrive this Saturday, 9/29. The delivery guy was a complete jerk to my Dad yesterday and demanded that my Dad drive him back to his truck after he was a jerk dropping off the money. Just simply an awful experience all thanks to the companies that State 2 State brokers with. I just want others to know that when JP at State 2 State says not to worry and he does this all the time, you still have every right to worry.  (more)

Subject : state to state horror

Made my reservation in early April. Driver never called to confirm pick-up when I called they put me off and when I called back they said the job was cancelled. Called state to state and then they cam the next day the co. name was PA-Port Express, LLC there communication is poor at best then we had to drive our cars out to them they would not come pick them up. They were 2 days late delivering them to TX. Again would not drive the cars to us we had to drive 30 miles to pick up our cars that were already 2 days late. Never use this Service  (more)

Subject : Warning!

On December 22, 2011, I entered into contract with State2State to transport my car from FL to CT four months later, specifically on any day of their choice April 23-27, 2012. The pick-up was never made despite daily reminders and queries by phone and e-mail. State2State's written explanation on the last pick-up date was "unfortunately the carrier's (sic) haven't fulfilled a full load as of yet." In other words, since this small company - officially listed with 1-4 employees - obviously didn't have enough orders, the trip wasn't worth their while, and they decided to unilaterally cancel our contract, something that created significant problems for me. I must therefore rate State2State a company that can NOT be trusted and that I in no way whatsoever want to recommend.  (more)

Subject : Great Transport

The entire process was great from the sales person to the driver. They kept me in the loop of the details and the driver communicated with me throughout the entire transport. The transport was supposed to take 7 to 10 days, cross country but the driver managed to get there within 7. I would use State 2 State Auto again!  (more)

Subject : AVOID!

I used this company to transport my 2010 Nissan Altima from west texas to Oahu, Hawaii. They misquoted the price I was to pay to Matson, the shipper out of Long Beach, so I ended up paying more than they quoted. After the driver picked up my vehicle, I couldn't get ahold of the agents at State 2 State to save my life. The driver's truck broke down in San Antonio and was delayed for 11 days. Not his fault really, but the worst part was State 2 State never notified me of the delay! I had to call the driver directly to find out my car was still in Texas when I was expecting it in Honolulu the same week. He even called State 2 State to ask if he should call me about the situation, and they told him no! Worst customer service ever!  (more)
