Delivery went great once car was picked up. Tried to get this done around Independence Day. Ship A Car Direct had a hard time finding a transport heading to Louisiana but once they did, it was wham bam done. You have to understand that the dates given are estimates. Allow a big enough window and you will be very pleased with SACD. My rep, Matt was very communicative at every stage of the move. The driver was friendly and courteous. Easy process. You pay a small hold fee up front. You do not get charged until they secure a transport. Pay the balance to the driver upon delivery. Cash or cashiers check works best for the driver. Easy peasy. I called a bunch of these places to get a quote for shipping a 2009 BMW from New Jersey to California. I spoke with about four different companies. We had never used a car transport outfit before this experience. I needed to have a non running car shipped from Nevada to Pennsylvania and the window for pickup was narrow (3 days). David Franco at Safe-Direct (formerly Honesty First) got me set up with a carrier and all was set for my car to be picked up on the second day of my window. The night before the scheduled pickup, I called the carrier and they informed me that due to delays, they could not pick up my car until after my window of opportunity (this was in no way the fault of Safe-Direct, mind you). I called David back and in less than 24 hours, he found me a new carrier and my car was picked up the morning of the last day of my window! The car rode on the top of a car carrier with 9 other cars. It left Nevada on Wednesday morning and arrived at my house on Saturday night. The car was completely undamaged and it was barely even dirty. The carrier (Frontline Auto Transport) took excellent care of my car and the driver even helped me maneuver it into my garage once unloaded. I HIGHLY recommend Safe-Direct Auto shipping. We decided last minute to transport our car instead of drive it coast-to-coast. I found Honesty First through Transport Reviews. I looked at their website and youtube videos before contacting them. Those posts online were very helpful. My husband thought it was too good to be true (the transaction was so smooth and was doubtful at first. He asked for a contract agreement, which they were able to provide via email right away). A day after I contacted Honesty First, they were able to find a carrier that can bring our car from CA to NC. Tom Miller gave us the details to make sure our car will be picked-up/delivered. They have a follow-up email making sure we got our car! They are brokers/middle men but they made our move less stressful. Big Dog Auto Transport was the actual carrier of our vehicle. We moved to a rural area and the driver from Big Dog was able to deliver our car a little bit nearer than what was originally agreed upon. Our car was delivered 1 day later than what was estimated, which is understandable since nobody can really tell the road conditions while travelling.
