: do not use AV transport
AV Transport was assigned as my carrier from US Auto direct (broker). Had a hard time gettnig in touch with AV tansport, I called constantly and left messages and was rarely called back, I just had to keep calling them. pickup and delivery were both late, one day it was car will be picked up this day, then they change it, then the same thing on delivery, car went from being delivered on Wednesday (maybe) to Thursday (definitely) to Friday (100%).
My car was delivered with a damaged driver mirror of which the driver had no explanation for, but at the same time he meticulously noted every little scratch, chip, etc on the car, but why would he not inspect the mirrors. Furthermore, he goes on to tell me that he never touched the mirrors. However, the car was put on the truck with mirrors closed, but when the transporter arrived, the mirrors were open to their normal position. I ask dthe driver how this happened and he said it was the wind. I showed the mirror damage to the driver, let him touch it to see how damaged it was and he just had nothing to say about it besides the selling dealer must've done it and he never inspected the mirrors. After discussing the damage with the carrier he was unwilling to help and said he woudl call the selling dealer to dicuss and call me back, but he did not call me back, nor would he/his wfe return any calls to discuss the damage.
I would not recommend this shipper to anyone due to company not being responsible for damage they incurred to my vehicle, lack of communication, and unwillingness to discuss anything after car was delivered. Stay away. Please note that fee I noted above includes a $150 broker fee.
Please note as well that they have 2 reviews on this site that are almost exactly identical with a 4 start ranking, but from 2 different people, hmmm, seems odd. (more)

: Car Delivered intact, Poor delivery estimates
I was gifted a car in Phoenix, AZ and decided to ship it back to the Altoona, PA area. The carrier, 'AV Transport', was booked through 'Quality US Transport LLC'."QUST" sent the initial confirmation email/invoice that included deposit, money due at delivery, as well as the pickup and delivery date estimates.
***The Good about AV Transport:
-Price was competitive, especially considering current fuel prices.
-The driver (Alex) and the dispatch woman were polite during all phone communications.
-They accurately documented the car's condition prior to shipping.
-The car was delivered in the exact same condition that it was picked up in. There was dirt from travel, but that's to be expected in an open car carrier.
-The odometer reading was virtually unchanged from the time of pickup (definitely no joy-riding).
-During Delivery, the driver gave me ample opportunity to examine the vehicle before making payment and signing off on the "Bill of Lading" form (it releases them from all damage claims after it's signed, so be diligent in your inspection).
***The Not So Good:
-Original delivery estimates were off by approximately a week.
-Subsequent delivery estimates (all three of them) I received by phone were off by days, then a day, and finally by about 12 hours. I was given various excuses for the reoccurring delays ranging from driver illness to a death in the family. I can't speak to the veracity of these excuses; what I can confirm is the adjusted delivery times given during these conversations weren't accurate.
-The phone communications could have been more fluid and timely. There were times that my calls to the driver's phone weren't returned until the next day. This delay normally wouldn't be an issue for me, but things were running way behind schedule by this point and the delay in returning my calls was less than comforting.
Summary:
If you choose to use this carrier, know that your vehicle will arrive unharmed, communication with the driver/dispatch is pleasant (when it occurs), and there is thorough documentation of the vehicle's condition at the time of pickup. (which is beneficial to all parties).
Be aware that they make NO guarantee on the actual delivery date/times. AV Transport is well aware of this policy as demonstrated by my delivery being almost a week "late".
If you're not pressed for time and want to save some money I can recommend this company in good conscience. (more)

: great customer service!
I used AV transport service twice previously for transporting cars. I liked to work with this company, because they offer enormous customer service. They always answer e-mails, phones, they are always in contact with the driver, and I could get updates about when the car was going to be delivered. I will absolutely work with this company in the future. (more)

: Great service
I had 3 cars , including a 1979 Corvette, moved from NJ to NM. They were delivered on-time, dirty (as fore-warned), and undamaged. The driver (Al) kept in stroke by phone, and the office called with updates. All in all, a very positive knowledge (better than with the van line that moved my furniture....), and I would use AV once more, in a heartbeat (more)
