Best Rate Auto Transport - Review

I purchased my 2011 BMW M6 from a dealership in Downers Grove Il and they referred me to Stephanie from Best Rate Auto. She quoted me $800 which was including a $100 brokering fee. She arranged the pick up for the day when the dealership notified her that the car was ready to go and I had my car delivered at my house 6 days after. Everything went perfect, the driver was very helpful and professional. I was very grateful that the dealership recommended such a reliable shipping company because I have heard of many bad experiences that people have with car transporting. Contacted Best Rate in Vegas - Seph was good -set up mover. They showed up at midnight becouse of hold ups/weaher but car out took ten minutes. They had car inSouth Florida in three days with no problrms. Happy.  (more)

I chose Best Rate Auto Transport from 28 companies that responded to my quote requests not only because they had the lowest rate but because they were very honest and knowledgeable. The car was picked up on the date promised and it was delivered in 4 days. The driver gave me plenty of notice before picking up the car and before delivering it in Brookfield. I have recommended Best Rate to my friend that moved from WA to FL and he also had a good experience and got a cheap price.  (more)

I arranged for my car to be transported from Michigan to California a month in advance of the move date and provided a 3-day pick-up window I was told would be "perfect." I stipulated that the vehicle must be picked up no later than 7/8/10 as I would be leaving myself on the 9th. Was told this was not a problem. Never got any calls from the company, I am the one who had to call to inquire as to when my vehicle would be picked up. All I got was apologies that no transport truck had yet been found. It was blamed on the holiday weekend. Ok - I could maybe understand that. But I had been guaranteed a pick-up within the window I provided. I was told this was highly unusual. Later I was told $10.00 had been added to the driver offer. Which is no big deal but the price was also "guaranteed." I was told more than once that I would be contacted before the close of the business day with a status, but never was. All contact made was on my end -- and my car is STILL in Michigan today -- 7/12/10. I have had to leave it with a nervous neighbor and meanwhile - will be forced to rent a car until I can get another company to handle this. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The only thing they are good at is saying they are sorry.  (more)

After reading reviews about transport companies I was very worried about moving my Infiniti from FL to AZ. I received over 35 different quotes from transporters and I called almost all of them. From all of them, only Mike at Best Rate Auto Transport seemed to be honest about how this process works. Everybody else was doing their "sales job". My car was picked up within the 2 day window they asked for and delivered to AZ in 5 days  (more)
