Avoid Reindeer Auto Relocation if you care about your car! They moved two vehicles for me from CA to TX and damaged both. On the more serious damage, the truck was driven on the transport and was fully functioning. When it arrived in CA (on a different truck), it was completely inoperable and had to be winched off the trailer. It had to be towed to a mechanic and they confirmed that one of their drivers tried to force the vehicle into gear and destroyed the shift tube inside the steering column as well as damaged other related pieces. Reindeer is taking no responsibility for the damage by ignoring the logic of explaining how the vehicle was no longer operational. This organization will not take care of your car and their employees have no integrity.  (more)

My car was transported via Reindeer for a job-related move. I received the car with dense and deep pockmarks throughout the front end. It went from looking new to looking abused. Reindeer refused to cover repairs, stating that their policy counts this as minor wear from transportation on an open trailer, saying that the damage was bug debris. I want to make it very clear that it was not. Bug debris does not leave hundreds of ~1cm wide pockmarks throughout the bumper, paint chips, or several inch long scratches on the hood.  (more)

When I dropped my car off at Whiteys in Hartford, there was no one to perform the mandatory vehicle inspection and with a flight to catch that evening, I did not have the luxury of waiting around. When my car was delivered to me 12 days later, it was extremely dirty and covered a few blemishes. Multiple calls and emails to Reindeer Auto from the very day of delivery through the following week went unanswered, until the corporate relocation coordinator got involved. Clearly the "real.personal.service" was not working after delivery. Thereafter, on request, I provided multiple photographs and estimate for the damage, after which the claim was reviewed and denied as pre existing damage and untimely notification.  (more)

I wish I drove myself instead of using Reindeer Auto Relocation. My car was shipped in an open carrier. The paint was chipped by road pebbles and coated with salt from the road leading to uncountable tiny rust spots in the paint. The worst part is I signed forms that said Reindeer auto relocation was not liable for the damages. Repairing the paint is expensive so the service does not save me time or money. It is my fault I signed away liability but I thought that it was unlikely my car would get bead blasted by road debris. Again I wish I drove myself.  (more)

I had my vehicle shipped as part of a goverment Permanent Change of Station. Because of the nature of the PCS, shipping was done through a series of contractors. The vehicle left Los Angeles, CA and arrived in Hilo, HI. Within one week of arrival I had diagnosed a broken power-steering pump, borken harmonic balancer, broken transfer case bearing, water in the front and rear differential, and significant bearing damage in the rear axle. I had the car serice 10 days prior to shipping, including and extensive drive train check. Everything was 100% operation and in good condition prior to shipping. I have letters from two mechanics in Hawaii attesting that the damage was most likely caused during shipping, either from standing water infilitrating into the axles and then a series of cascading problems as the drivetrain failed, or anecedotally someone doing some heavy four-wheeling and not knowing how to engage/disengage the system properly. Despite these letters and documentation they denied my insurance claim and said so sad, too bad. I am now at $4K in damages and incidentals. I have shipped this car to Hawaii twice before, both times out of pocket personally and directly through Pasha Hawaii ($900). Both times I had not had an incident. Under no cricumstances would I ever use this company again, professionally or personally. I will do my most to impress on my federal employee colleagues the failure of this company in its responsibilties and suggest they ship their vehicle personally as an out of pocket expense. The best part of this is since this vehicle relocation was covered by work it is a taxable expense. Who knows how much they upcharge the goverment, so I get to pay for them to ship and break my vehicle.  (more)

Part of a corporate relocation, they were hired to transport my vehicle. The vehicle was damaged for over $2,200, and they denied the claim, stating its normal wear and that the driver does not admit fault. They do not take liability for any damage, but try to pass it on to the driver, if the cannot, they will deny your claim. Beware of this company, they are just a broker that look for the cheapest driver.  (more)

This is a terrible company!!! They broke the sideview mirror on my car and then refused to pay to have it repaired. Total cost to repair the damage they did to my car was $1000. Please find a different company to use for transporting your vehicle this company does not handle cars in a professional manner. Do not use Reindeer Auto Relocation!! They broke my car, rendered it undriveable and then simply shrugged their shoulders and denied my claim for compensation.
