King of the Road Transport - Review

I had a good experience shipping my two cars from Washington DC area to Virginia. One area for improvement is on the sales process. Being specific about whether the client can add items to the car or not is needed. I did pack a lot of loose items into both cars and was not clear whether this was allowed or not. The Truck driver worked out a cash solution as the cars carry extra weight from the items. That was fair. Overall, the communication was good and the process was pretty simple.  (more)

Great experience with King of the Road travel! We moved from Charleston, SC to Seattle, WA, so long move. They were the least expensive option I found to move the two cars. Despite that we got so much more than we paid for! They were helpful, personable, and timely. They found us a driver the first day available, lake express transport, and they were amazing They got the vehicles here quickly, even though it was a long distance move. Because this has been such a long distance move getting anything to run smoothly has been painful, but not moving the cars this was painless and fast. Highly recommend King of the Road and I would request Lake express transport.  (more)

I am happy to be the first one to review this company here. They were great, gave me a below average rate in a real short turnaround time. I got the quote in an email followed by a call from Mary and within 15 minutes (!!!) she had a truck ready to pickup that day. We were able to push it to the following day as I wasn´t expecting such fast service. Thanks to all of King of the Road´s staff.  (more)
