Review Description

My car was damaged by Direct Express Auto's contracted carrier. Mike Rupers, in California, has not seen the car and can not testify to the damages. The contracted carrier was Metro City Transport. Their Estimator was sent to asses the damage. A comment on the estimator's report was, "POINT OF CONTACT LF DOOR AND ROOF. APPEARS THAT POSSIBLY A LOOSE CHAIN OR TIE STRAP WAS SWINGING FROM THE WIND DAMAGING THE DOOR AND ROOF." The estimated damages were $1,824.52. The insurance agent told me that the carrier's deductable was $6,000 and I would have to get them to pay for anything less. I did not think that I was subject to the deductable, but after investigating, it is true. The consumer is subject to the carrier's deductable. In this case, it was $6,000. View the creditablity of the BBB by searching the web for a 20/20 Investigation on the BBB. 20/20 discovered that; "ABC SAYS “20/20″ WATCHED BUSINESS LEADERS BEING TOLD THEIR BBB RATINGS COULD BE IMPROVED FROM A C TO A+ IF THEY WOULD BUY A $425 BBB MEMBERSHIP — BUT DOESN’T SAY IN WHAT CITY THAT HAPPENED."
